Catalog description

Throughout the semester we will be defining the role of the Production Manager in the entertainment industry. We'll discuss the various career paths and identify the core responsibilities and skills required to be a successful PM. Topics will include developing a working knowledge of schedules and budgets, learning the intricacies of event timing, and navigating the complications that arise throughout the event process. You'll analyze and develop production riders and learn the importance they carry in the PM role. Finally, we'll discuss workplace and event safety, OSHA guidelines, and the role local police and fire have in the industry.
