This course will enhance writing proficiency in Spanish of Spanish speaking students by targeting common problems characteristic of Spanish speakers. SPAN 200A can benefit not only heritage speakers, but also Spanish speakers who were educated in Spanish-speaking countries because this class emphasizes the development of writing skills and metalinguistic knowledge (e.g., identifying language structures).
