Catalog description
Examines juvenile conduct, causes of delinquency, current methods of treatment; and agencies concerned with delinquency. Introduces students to the major theories, concepts, and research findings related to juvenile delinquency. Students will explore a variety of juvenile behaviors in different social contexts to determine their causes, consequences, and potential solutions. Provides students with a way of thinking about the relations between their personal life and the social structures which shape their life in relation to the problem of juvenile delinquency.
