Health Equity Leadership Program

Catalog description

Health Equity Leadership Experience is a one-credit course designed to expose science students on a health professions track to diverse life experiences of the people of a certain urban location, the challenges they experience in accessing care, and through service learn about the barriers that many individuals face when trying to live happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. This course seeks to enrich all students' understandings of themselves as beings with complex intersectional identities and their understanding of how this intersects with their future practices as healthcare professionals.
