Catalog description

This course aims to enhance students' individual leadership development by building on existing foundational knowledge to establish confidence and competence in mentoring situations. Students will develop unique methods for delivering content to aspiring students by integrating past leadership experiences from identified leadership courses with new instruction and insights. Students will fulfill the role of peer mentor by exploring effective strategies for facilitating and developing emerging student leaders through various applications both in and out of the classroom. This course requires students to be driven and self-motivated. Additionally, students will gain further leadership skills by mentoring peers, assisting them in understanding and applying course content, and working on group projects. Specifics of this work will be further outlined by the instructor.
