Catalog description

The Wilderness First Responder course focuses on the development of assessment and response skills to give students the ability and experience necessary to recognize and treat a variety of medical and environmental emergencies encountered in the backcountry. Topics of focus include musculoskeletal and soft tissue injuries, trauma, heat and cold related injuries, allergic reactions, shock, survival skills, and more. Successful completion of this course includes a certification in Wilderness First Responder and CPR by an outside, certifying organization.
