PHYS 462 Applications of Physics in Medicine (3) This course is a general survey of applications of physics in understanding the physiology of the human body and the physical principles behind diagnostic medical measurement , including imaging modalities: X-ray, nuclear, magnetic resonance, and ultrasound. Treatment applications such as laser surgery and radiation therapy are also covered. The course is appropriate for students intending work in a health profession.
