Catalog description

This course introduces students to the iGaming and online sports betting industry, one of the fastest-growing sectors in hospitality, sports and gaming. Students explore the historical and legal foundations of online gaming, U.S. regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements, technical standards, platform operations, and business models. Course topics also include customer acquisition and marketing under evolving advertising restrictions, responsible gambling practices, integrity safeguards, and emerging global trends. Assessments are designed to encourage applied learning and integration of course content. This course complements traditional casino management offerings by preparing students for careers in both land-based and online gaming environments.
