Catalog description

The ability to use and apply MS Excel is a vital competency and resume builder for students to have. Companies expect it for career success and dependency on one's ability to use Excel in solving financial and managerial problems. Additionally, Excel proves to be a useful tool for managing personal finances such as budgets or transaction tracking. The use of worksheets and MS Excel is required in such diverse classes as management, marketing, finance, real estate, and entrepreneurship. This introductory course intends to provide students with beginner to intermediary knowledge of Excel and involves lectures on the basic functionality of the software. The classes make intensive use of hands-on, in-class learning exercises illustrating the topics presented in the lectures. as well as case studies.
