Catalog description

This course is a requirement for First-Year Peer Assistants in the College of Health and Human Development (HHD). Course content will train and support Peer Assistants (PAs) who will be co-facilitating a section of PSU14 (first-year seminar). This discussion and activity-based course will familiarize PAs with the PSU14 curriculum and provide them with supplemental activities and materials to use in the classroom. PAs will complete team building activities, assess their leadership skills, and become familiar with campus resources to use as a referral. By the conclusion of this course, PAs will have the tools necessary to serve as a peer resource for first-year students and to facilitate class activities and discussions in PSU14.
