Catalog description

This course provides an overview of the structure of the German language from its sound system (phonetics and phonology) to word formation (morphology) and word order (syntax), to language variation (sociolinguistics) and language change (historical linguistics). The overview will include comparisons with other Germanic languages such as English. This course is taught in German.
