Catalog description

Advanced course on the integration of information technology into systems applications. ETI 421 Advanced Enterprise Integration: Technology and Applications (3) ETI 421 expands the knowledge gained in ETI 420 on the theories and skills required for planning, developing, implementing, and managing information systems. ETI 421 is required of all Information Sciences and Technology (IST) undergraduates who have chosen the Information Technology: Integration and Application Option in their Baccalaureate degree. Upon completion of the course, the student will have expanded knowledge of information technology and systems integration issues across multiple application settings. They will also have a deeper understanding of the specific information technology (both hardware and software) that can serve as the foundation for designing systems within an organization, and have experience that fosters an understanding of the role of IT achieving system performance goals.
