ENGR 487 Business Opportunities in Engineering: The Business Plan (1) This course focuses on business opportunities in engineering. Students will learn about the essential elements of the Business Plan and the value of, and methods for, developing and presenting a Business Plan to start a business. Topics include The Business, Marketing, Financials, Supporting Material, Writing and Presentation Tips and Practice, and Case Studies. Aspects of creativity, winning business plans, strategies, strengths, competition, litigation, insurance, marketing, distribution, sales, and funding will also be discussed. This course complements Business Opportunities in Engineering that must be taken as a prerequisite or in conjunction with this course.
