This course introduces critical entrepreneurship business skills from a startup perspective. Learn the fundamentals of business formation structures, accounting and finance, intellectual property, marketing, sales and operations. Projects include assembling a financial proforma and developing an investor pitch. Whether you start your own business, work for a startup or work for a larger organization, this class teaches how the entire business operates and the contributions of all the functional areas. This "big picture" understanding will enhance your leadership and entrepreneurial potential. This class is required for the Product Innovation Cluster of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ENTI) minor, the Master in Engineering Leadership and Innovation Management Degree (ELIM) and the Product Innovation Entrepreneurship Certificate (PINENT).
