A comprehensive focus on these areas ensures that Clark Scholars make a broader impact on their community and that they are prepared to take on roles as socially responsible innovators and leaders in the industries in which they pursue their careers. In this way, they are excellently positioned to tackle some of the world's toughest challenges. This course equips students with a comprehensive understanding of essential leadership and innovation principles, bridging the gap between academic experiences and professional engineering practice. Through engaging assessments, interactive activities, and personal reflection, students will explore leadership styles and innovation theories, actively practicing these concepts in class through student leadership positions as well as providing a roadmap for implementation in and their future careers. Students will leave with practical insights and strategies to excel as innovative leaders in the engineering workforce.
