E MCH 316 E MCH 316 Experimental Determination of Mechanical Response of Materials (1) The objective of EM CH 316 is to introduce students to the relevant technology and methods used to determine the mechanical responses of engineering materials and structural components. Student teams will apply stress and strain measurement techniques; conduct tensile, torsion, creep, internal pressurization, and fatigue tests; then characterize mechanical behavior and explain the material parameters obtained. The laboratory assignments are designed to complement the lecture course E MCH 315, which must be taken as a prerequisite of concurrently.
