Theories of learning in relation to instructional practices. Analysis of motivation, transfer of learning, and retention (3) This learning theory and practice course provides students with an understanding of major concepts, principles and theories, and related research of teaching and learning framed by young adolescent and adolescent development. This course also explores how theory is translated into instructional practice and is linked to students' field experiences while concurrently enrolled in EDUC 313 . Students engage in scholarly reading, collaborative and multimodal activities, and assignments as they translate learning theory to instructional practice.
