Catalog description

The Telecommunications and Media Industries market has experienced transformative change and disruption. With the proliferation of smartphones and internet connectivity, new products will be introduced to meet the needs of a rapidly changing, global economy. By the end of this course, students will understand the Telecommunications and Media Industry, the current state challenges, and the emerging opportunities to introduce new products. Students will work in teams and utilize Design Thinking and LUMA Methods to develop a new product concept. This course will introduce students to the prevalent product development methodologies used within the Telecommunications industry. Topics will include: Telecommunications and Media Industries overview Industry mergers, acquisitions, and leadership philosophies Emerging challenges and opportunities within the Telecommunications and Media Industries Digital badges Product development principles and methodologies Design Thinking product development LUMA Methods product development
