This computer lab-based course is where everything you've learned so far about data analysis and visualization comes together. Building on the prior two courses in CED's 3-course data analysis and visualization sequence (CED 204, CED 405 , and either CED 407 or CED 408 , depending upon your option), you'll take on real-world cases from community and economic development to tackle complex problems. You'll practice asking the right questions, working with data, and using tools like Excel, ArcGIS, Tableau, PowerBI, and R to uncover insights, and communicate your findings in ways that support real decision-making. Whether you're analyzing workforce trends, mapping out local economic shifts, or helping a nonprofit understand the impact of its programming, this course gives you the space to practice addressing complex problems - just like professionals in the field.
