Catalog description

This course focuses on the concepts and techniques essential for the practice of traffic engineering. The content includes topics such as use of traffic control devices, field studies for traffic data collection, traffic signal warrants, signal phasing and timing plans, and analysis of signalized intersection operation. The course also provides an introduction to several key texts and references, including the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Highway Capacity Manual and ITE Trip Generation Handbook.
