BIOL 245W is a 1-credit laboratory course that accompanies BIOL 244 lecture, which is an introductory course exploring the function and development of plants and animals. In lab, experimental investigations of both animal and plant systems will reinforce the concepts covered in lecture. Through the lab, students are expected to become proficient in techniques used to study organisms, including but not limited to observations and experiments, data collection and data analysis. The course emphasizes critical thinking, data summary and analysis, teamwork, and interpretation and presentation of experimental results through written and oral reports. Students who have passed BIOL 240W or BIOL 240M may not enroll in this course.
