Pennsylvania State University-World Campus · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
Community Engaged Learning for Diversity and Health gives students an opportunity to see and experience course content through relevant service in the local community. The course will also help students critically analyze the social and structural barriers for achieving health equity in their community and develop the psychosocial skills for effective communication and relationship building in the community. This will be done through a service commitment determined by the faculty member and class assignments designed to connect service experiences with course content from BBH 302 : Diversity and Health. Student learning will be assessed through oral and written reflection exercises, weekly journaling, and an evaluation by the community organization.
