Catalog description

This course gives an introduction to some of the major topics in the Department of Biobehavioral Health, with the aim to meet the Penn State first-year seminar goal of orienting students to the scholarly community from the outset of their undergraduate studies in a way that will bridge to later experiences in a chosen major. The class provides an overview of Biobehavioral Health, then focuses on a more in-depth explanation of student curricular and extracurricular opportunities, themes of scholarship, and career pathways for students in the biobehavioral health major. The course aims to help students prepare to explore their academic interests in Biobehavioral Health as they begin their education at Penn State.
