Course explores the moral and ethical dimensions of the work of educational leaders. EDLDR 575 Ethics in Educational Leadership (3)This course will: 1) examine traditional ethics as well as alternative forms of moral development (critical theory applied to justice and feminist ethics); 2) compare and contrast one's own code of ethics with that of a professinal code of ethics; 3) explore approaches to moral and ethical reasoning and to use these approaches to work through ethical dilemmas related to the practice of educational administration; and 4) have students design and present authentic ethical dilemmas providing theoretical background, appropriate questions, solutions, and reflection.
