Catalog description

The goal of this course is to examine learning as a culturally and historically situated process that occurs in and across contexts and timescales. Course members will engage with scholarly literature representing sociocultural and critical perspectives on learning and apply these perspectives as tools for analysis of their own novel cases of learning. The course includes an ongoing focus on theory and implications for K-12 classrooms and the work of teaching. This course is appropriate for graduate students whose work intersects learning and teaching.
