This is a comprehensive professional practice course in which students learn the Family/Individual Across the Lifespan Nurse Practitioner (F/INP) role focused on common acute/episodic health problems in caring for individuals and families across the lifespan. The student will integrate newly acquired and previously mastered knowledge. Emphasis is on the specialized population and role of the F/INP. Content focuses on epidemiological, cultural, ethical, and economic factors related to families and individuals in the context of health promotion, disease prevention, treatment options, and quality improvement processes.
