Advanced TV Script Writing

Catalog description

Students enrolled in Advanced Television Writing will have successfully completed ENGL 281 , Introduction to TV Writing. In the advanced course, they will continue the project (a television pilot script) begun in the earlier course, with emphasis on further developing their understanding of concept, structure, character development, dialogue, and scene structure---in line with industry standards. Along with advanced reading and analysis of existing scripts, students will complete advanced writing exercises designed to aid in the completion of a full draft of their pilot script, the final project for the course.
