Nanophotonics is a rapidly growing and exciting field that merges the principles of nanotechnology and photonics to create new and innovative applications. This comprehensive course offers an in-depth exploration of the fundamental concepts of photonics and nanotechnology, with a specific focus on the interaction between light and semiconductors, metals, or composites at the nanoscale. Throughout the course, students will delve into a broad range of topics, including plasmonics, photonic crystals, metamaterials, metasurfaces, photonics integrated circuits, and their practical applications. By developing a comprehensive understanding of the principles and physics behind state-of-the-art nanophotonic materials, devices, and applications, students will be well-positioned to excel in nanophotonics research and development.
