Nurse Practitioner Doctoral Practicum

Catalog description

This Nurse Practitioner Doctoral Practicum allows the student to integrate the role of the DNP-prepared, option-specific NP, demonstrating clinical competency, diagnostic reasoning, and clinical decision-making abilities while contributing to a culture of clinical scholarship among all healthcare professionals. Clinical experiences are conducted with guidance from NP option-specific clinical preceptors and clinical faculty. The settings for student rotations in the clinical practicum course are appropriate to the option-specific NP role and may be chosen based upon a student's preferred specialty area.
