Clinical Practicum II

Catalog description
This is the second in a series of six clinical practicum courses. This course builds on the clinical knowledge and skills developed in Clinical Practicum I and in-hospital experiences. Learners will apply peri-anesthetic concepts and didactic knowledge into clinical anesthetic practice for a variety of patients across the lifespan and those undergoing a variety of surgical and medical procedures. Emphasis is placed on patient safety, vigilance, culturally competent care of the patient across the peri-anesthetic continuum, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication. Clinical competency is assessed through performance in the clinical environment.
