Advanced Health Assessment Across the Lifespan Review and Competency Intensive

Catalog description

This refresher course is designed for nurse practitioner students who have previously completed graduate-level advanced health assessment coursework and are returning to continue NP studies. The course provides structured review and practice of advanced physical assessment skills, diagnostic reasoning, and communication techniques across the lifespan. Students engage in selected online review activities and attend a mandatory two-day onsite intensive at Penn State Hershey to demonstrate competency through simulation, peer practice, and faculty-evaluated assessments. The course is graded Pass/Fail and ensures readiness for NP-level clinical practice.
