Landscape architecture is a discipline that crosses multiple realms, including the natural and social sciences, the humanities, and the arts. As a result, research within landscape architecture engages a wide range of inquiries, methods, and outcomes. This course introduces students to advanced research methods in landscape architecture and environmental planning. It emphasizes the role of research in shaping theory and practice, guides students in defining research questions, and explores qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method approaches. Students will develop a research proposal grounded in rigorous methodology.
