Catalog description

This course provides a survey of major trends in the field of comparative and international education in the last half of the 20th century. The course presents problems and issues that are of global concern in the 21st century and provides students with readings and databases that will allow them to make their own comparisons. Students will be given an overview of international organizations and the frameworks in which important contemporary education trends and issues are discussed around the world. Finally, potential future solutions will be explored.
