This doctoral-level course is the first in a series of two clinical correlation courses, allowing students to integrate theoretical knowledge, clinical experience, and critical thinking skills necessary for the NBCRNA National Certification Exam (NCE) for Nurse Anesthetists. Students will critically analyze, synthesize, and evaluate the knowledge gained in previous nurse anesthesia coursework and clinical practicum courses through a review of evidence-based anesthesia literature. Students will be given the opportunity to develop an independent study plan with faculty guidance. Students will participate in structured review sessions, password protected exams, and mock boards to review comprehensive topics encountered on the NBCRNA Self-Evaluation Exam (SEE) and the NCE. Students will complete the SEE in compliance with program policy.
