Catalog description

This course provides an overview of the historical development of various components of health care services in the United States. Additionally, the course will explore the determinants of individual and population health, introduce topics of management, operations assessment, quality, ethics, health disparities, and financial analysis. In analyzing current health system structures, the course will demonstrate the interrelationship of those various components, as well as explore the impact of contemporary public policy issues confronting the health care system and recent health policy reform.
