Catalog description

Mergers and acquisitions are powerful and versatile growth tools that companies of all sizes use to build value. A well-planned purchase, spin-off, or merger can increase the financial position and the go-forward outlook of an enterprise. Macroeconomic uncertainty and regulatory challenges have created an environment where deal structures are more involved, with more challenging business cases, and require a deeper understanding of the processes from the buyer side and the seller side. Strategic leaders need to understand the process of identifying timely opportunities and executing well thought-out deals. This course seeks to prepare students for the evolving demands of the corporate finance industry in which deal preparation, negotiation and integration are important to firm value.
