C E 528C E 528 Transportation Safety Analysis (3) This course introduces students to issues and methods in transportation safety analysis; factors contributing to crashes; methods of analysis for determining crash causation; modeling accident occurrence; identifying crash sites for treatment. Students will be evaluated using periodic homework assignments, a mid-term exam, and a class project. Students are expected to learn fundamental aspects of highway accident occurrence and modeling. They will be introduced to modeling techniques and methods used to assess causality in crashes. The course is offered annually in the fall semester.
