ACCT 532 Accounting Information and Decision Systems (3) The course includes the study of business processes, transactions cycles, and internal control structure with an emphasis on computerized accounting information systems. The course explores the need for communication of information across functional areas to meet an organization's contemporary auditing, professional and legal considerations. The role of information systems is demonstrated by a focus on reporting objectives, management needs, transaction trails, documentation, security, internal controls, and the integration of accounting systems in the evaluation and selection of software.
