Demographic Foundations

This course introduces graduate students to the foundations of formal demography and social demography. Students will learn essential demographic concepts, theories, and interdisciplinary perspectives used in the study of populations, their structure, and how they change. The class will discuss the social determinants and social consequences of demographic change.
