Catalog description

This course provides a review of professional ethics, reviews regulations and requirements for professional practice across a variety of settings, and discusses cultural considerations for studying, assessing, treating, and counseling those clients and their families/caregivers with communication and swallowing disorders across the lifespan. Students will also explore contemporary issues related to the field of speech-language pathology through the lens of mass media and diverse patient populations.
