Catalog description

Examines uses of genetic studies in understanding biological processes associated with bacterial and viral pathogenesis. GENET 581GENET 581 Genetics of Model Organisms: Bacterial and Viral Pathogenesis: A (1) This course presents the use of genetic analysis in bacteria and viruses with its application to the study and dissection of biological pathways and processes. Bacterial and viral pathogenesis will be used to develop concepts and techniques that are critical components of genetic studies. Integration of studies will be used to compare and contrast the specific methods and techniques that underlie the use of genetic approaches in bacteria and viruses.
