Catalog description

This course will provide an overview of the critical strategic and operational leadership roles in human resources management for future and practicing administrators. Using a systems approach, this course will help leaders to identify the components of effective human resources management while also understanding how these components are interrelated and support strategic planning towards equitable teaching and learning. Additionally, this course will consider local state and federal policy, as well as legal and ethical responsibilities, dimensions of equity and diversity and a changing work force in: recruitment, selection, induction, retention, evaluation, professional development, collective bargaining and compensation of school personnel.
