Catalog description

This course explores cutting-edge areas within the rapidly evolving field of bioinformatics. Designed to be taken multiple times for credit, each course offering focuses on a distinct theme or emerging topic at the intersection of biology, computer science, and data science. The course is suitable both for students interested in doing bioinformatics research and those interested in applications of algorithms to the natural sciences. It is intended to be taken after the Algorithms and Data Structures in Bioinformatics course ( CSE 566 ), which introduces the basic concepts of bioinformatics.
