Catalog description

This doctoral-level course delivers an advanced, in-depth exploration of human anatomy and physiology across the lifespan. Structure-function relationships are covered from a molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, and system perspective. Topics include physiologic differences related to culture, gender, race, age, and genetics. Learners will develop the capacity to synthesize advanced biophysical knowledge into real-time decision-making, laying the scientific foundation for advanced pathophysiology, pharmacology, clinical practice, and patient management. Various techniques will be used to reinforce systems thinking and support application in diverse patient populations.
