This course provides an overview of the profession of clinical mental health and rehabilitation counseling. Course topics address professional identity, clinical mental health and rehabilitation settings and services, stigma and discrimination, psychosocial and cultural aspects of disability and mental health, public mental health and rehabilitation policy, and related client advocacy strategies, as well as current trends and issues affecting clinical mental health and rehabilitation counseling practice.
