- Odd Year This course introduces students to Western and non-Western masterworks in translation, across multiple cultures and eras, focusing on works of seminal cultural significance. Works will be read in their literary, historical, philosophical, and cultural context to give a sense of the variety and diversity of the human experience as revealed in literature.
