Technology for Teaching

Catalog description

This course is designed to prepare future and current teachers to select, use, modify, design, and integrate instructional and assistive technologies in the classroom. Experience in learning and using instructional technology such as email, PowerPoint, internet, database, spreadsheets, scanner, and various software packages will be addressed during the course of the class. These technology enhancements serve as an integral part of lesson development based on the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) standards formerly known as the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS).
