- Odd Year This course introduces American Sign Language. It focuses on conversation in signs, basic grammar and cultural aspects of the deaf community. Students are able to describe and discuss everyday matters and situations in a culturally appropriate manner, using their growing sign vocabulary, more complex grammatical principles, and communicative strategies that assist in being understood by the deaf listener.
