Emphasis on the diversity of roles and the unique importance of the RN role and interactions in the healthcare team. Independent practice experiences provide opportunities to explore interactions among various members of the interprofessional healthcare team. Examination of the impact that team members’ expertise, diversity, individual differences, today’s healthcare system, and the RN’s role have on the team related to the delivery of care.
