Catalog description

Exploration of healthcare needs for the aging population with a focus on biological, psychological, social, legal, and ethical concerns. Exploration of the role of the nurse and other healthcare professionals in the care of the dying person as well as the aging population’s needs related to acute care, long-term care, and home nursing/community care. Emphasis is placed on teaching about disease prevention and incorporating a healthy lifestyle, stabilization of chronic diseases, as well as restorative care.
